Cuisine for kids...
Lunchtime is taken very seriously in France, and all kids take a napkin to school each day - cloth mind, not a throwaway paper tissue.
And, to put the napkins in, there were napkin cases: cloth envelopes lovingly embroidered by Mum or Grannie.
Some were beautifully and almost professionally worked and some, well frankly, a bit wonky...but I love them all and I have a couple for sale in my Ebay shop, together with loads of stuff from Limoges. You can see my shop here. Just clic on 'Vintage Kitchen/Dining'.
SORRY, BUT THE BIRD CASE IS SOLD
